COLOR: PRINT VS MONITORS
To make sure we get your color correct, you might need some insights into how colors display differently in print and digital mediums.
UPDATES
The text and years on Juggernauts are configured in grids. When you need an update, we simply send a contour cut vinyl decal that you then align in the grid and put on like a big sticker.
For Acrylic and Insert: Unscrew the standoff caps on the acrylic, remove the top acrylic and the old insert. Place the new insert onto the standoff studs, then put the top acrylic back on and rescrew the caps. That’s it.
For Panel and Decals: Apply the new decal in the applicable spot like a giant sticker.
We offer a few different update packages; Any Time Updates, In-Season Pricing, and Buy-Out Pricing. Buy-Outs and In-Season will bring your costs down, but see our products pages for more information.
THOSE BURNING QUESTIONS
Depends. Typically, no. You could even say most of our products are our answer to the limitations vinyl has, and how we add a little pop to the aesthetics of championship displays.
Juggernauts and Boom Boards are made from rigid substrates used in the industrial imaging and building materials fields. They’re hard, durable, and mounted with standoffs to the wall.
But, we do make banners, and banner versions of Juggernauts and Boom Boards, so… those are indeed banners. Confused? Us too.
For Acrylic and Insert: Unscrew the standoff caps on the acrylic, remove the top For Initial quotes we ask for 1 to 2 days.
Designs and revisions typically run 2 to 10 business days (busy season can be a different beast!).
The majority of time on projects is spent gathering and combing records, and going back to committees with designs, revisions, and records to ensure all content is accurate (which we strongly encourage).
Once we have final approval, it takes 3 to 5 weeks to produce and ship the boards.
In the 10+ years these have been up in gyms, we’ve had one board broken and it was a deliberate act of vandalism. In an effort to improve on our track record, we’ve opted to go fully with a heavier panel created from the same material used in highway signs and other exterior signage. The substrate is very durable, and we offer different mounting options depending on where they’ll be installed.
As with anything, they’re not impervious to malicious actions or high velocity baseballs (if you have practice in your gym), but that is all taken into consideration when deciding on the installation location to mitigate risk.
Yes! We offer outdoor versions of most of our products, and, obviously, windscreens are perfect for outdoors. With proper care they can last years and years.
Keep in mind with outdoor products, weather and sun are tricky monsters, and there are many variables to consider for such a project. Call us and let’s talk it through.
Two words: Instant. Gratification.
Can we can send a jump drive or CD? Sure. But normally we send logos and related files via Dropbox, Google Drive, or One Drive links. Who has time to wait?! Especially for a crankin’ new logo?!
Cry. Cry a lot.
KIDDING!
The Standoffs allow for the entire board and hardware to be stripped down to nothing more than a tiny screw head. This makes it easy to repaint a wall without having to redrill holes.
Simply fill out the form on the contact page and we’ll get back to you within one to two business days.
This is to easily show approximate sizing, placement, and configuration of the mural on your wall.
We do not do any actual design work until a PO and/or signed quote have been issued.
We really try to comb over all the records as much as possible, and strongly encourage you to send the final design to as many coaches as possible, as well as those in your school who know your athletics history. It’s common though, even after great precautions are taken, to still miss something. At that point we would simply send contour cut decals to cover the existing records. It takes a little time, but is a bit more cost effective than reprinting (though we can do that, too).
Not directly. Vinyl murals have proven to be too temperamental and students are far too good at destroying them, so we no longer offer vinyl wall products. (Unless you’re willing to pay us like a million dollars. Then we’d be willing to at least discuss the project.)
We will, however, do designs and assist a vinyl printer & installer of your choice if that’s what you’d prefer.
We will provide a quote and the green board mock-up for sizing and placement for free, but no actual design work will be done without a signed quote or PO.
We wish we could, and are sorry for any inconvenience, but we pride ourselves on offering custom quality design that we will work on until it’s perfect for you. Plus, we want to feed our families… so you can see where this is going.
Life happens. If you for some reason need to cancel a project after you’ve signed the quote or provided a PO, all we bill you for is the time we have in the project up until that point.
You will NOT be charged the entire quoted amount, just the admin and design time, or, if it got really far, any materials purchased.
Please note, you will not be able to use any of the designs we created if you cancel the project. We retain the ownership of them unless you do a buy-out.
INSTALLATION
We do not do installs. We tried to design all of our products so a person competent with a drill and a level could do it. But, if you just don’t feel confident, we can recommend an installer we’ve used for a number of installs. They are based out of OH, but will travel.
We tried to design all of our products so a person competent with a drill and a level could do it. That being said, for the Juggernauts you’d obviously need a lift or scaffolding, and it will take some patience to drill that many holes in cinder block.
Updates are pretty much sliding an insert onto some pegs, and/or putting on stickers.
For most of our products we provide mock-ups to envision the completed projects, mounting templates, and mounting patterns with premeasured panels, holes, etc to make it as smooth and easy as possible.
We offer a few different update packages; Any Time Updates, In-Season Pricing, and Buy-Out Pricing. Buy-Outs and In-Season will bring your costs down, but see our products pages for more information.
Technically no. We send the panels, vinyl, templates, standoffs, and mounting hardware. We can even send the drill bit for a hammer drill if needed.
However, we don’t provide drills, ladders, etc… so in that sense you will need to bring a little something to the party yourself.
Yes. Just let us know you need it during the project and we’ll be sure to include it in the package. No extra charge!
FILE SUBMISSION
A spreadsheet works best. If you just have a few though, an email with the names/categories/years/sports/championships clearly called out is totally fine.
We do offer sample spreadsheets on our templates page for download if that’s helpful.
At the risk of oversimplifying this, a raster image is basically one made up of tiny little dots of color. When we enlarge your raster image, most times we are simply adding new dots artificially, which makes your image either super pixelated or very blurred and soft. Higher resolution images can diminish this issue, but vector is a far better option if scaling needs to be done.
Think of it like a mathematical equation that the computer uses to draw your image. This allows it to be scaled (or redrawn) at any size without losing any sharpness or image quality.
Resolution actually isn’t as important as overall size. Usually a pic above 2mb will work for print and general scaling, and (typically) the bigger the better.
Modern cameras all have their own RAW data. Some use a smaller image size (inches wise) at a higher resolution, others use a very large size at a lower resolution, so size isn’t always a guarantee.
Regardless, anything off the internet and under 1000kb is probably not going to work.
